Designed to separate water

Designed to separate water and other polar compounds out of a mixture of liquids.
Typical applications are solvent dewatering and purification, organic acid dewatering, breaking of azeotropes, or in-situ dewatering in condensation reactions.

Pervatech Hybrid Silica HybSi® Resistant membranes

Pervatech supplies ceramic tubular hydrophilic pervaporation membranes based on hybrid silica, also known as organo-silica. This hydrothermally stable membrane material combines the best of organic and inorganic worlds, enabling operation up to 150 ºC in harsh environments that contain organic solvents, water or acids – the conditions of many chemical processes. As a molecular sieve with sub-nanometer pores, the membranes separate small molecules as water or methanol with high selectivity out of process streams. The length of these tubular membranes is 250 mm or 500 mm, their outer diameter is 10 mm.

Pervatech Hybrid Silica HybSi® Resistant membranes are based on technology developed in The Netherlands by among others: TNO, The University of Twente, University of Amsterdam and Pervatech.

Pervatech NaA Membranes

Moreover, Pervatech supplies ceramic tubular hydrophilic membranes based on zeolite NaA. The recommended application of these membranes is dewatering via vapor permeation, a separation technique related to pervaporation with the feed stream in vapor phase.
